As a youth, Ian was non-verbal for most of his first decade on Earth. This early point of view manifested into Ian's emotional sensitivities on love, loss, racism, and hardship. Ian's distinct voice and literary light shines throughout the poems in Identity Crisis. A recent graduate from Bard College where they studied Creative Writing, Poetry and Spanish, their work has appeared in La Voz magazine, yst publications, Sui Generis, Bard Papers, and The Humanist magazine. They have published two chapbooks of poetry: A Bouquet of Roots (2017) by the Bard Student Reading Series, and Pink Telemachus (2019), a poetic and visual collaboration with the artist Olivia Caro. They have read poetry at The College Unions Poetry Slam International (CUPSI) as well as many other poetry venues in NY and PA. Olive writes and performs their music under the name Recluse Spider. Susana is the author of five books of poetry, most recently; Drugstore Blue (Five Oaks Press) and 4 Rms w Vu (Mayapple Press) in addition to four chapbooks. Her first collection, The Scottish Café (Slapering Hol Press), focused on intellectual life with war on the horizon. The Scottish Café was also re-released in a dual-language English-Polish version, Kawiarnia Szkocka (Opole University Press, Poland). Susana has degrees from CUNY and NYU and is a Professor and Program Coordinator at the New York Institute of Technology in New York, NY. Susana H.
